Jennifer Ramsay, The Story Girl, takes us on a little trip to Africa. Through stories and rhythms in English we will get to know some of the animals who live there: a tortoise who is so hungry he wants to eat the moon and a selfish leopard who won’t let anyone play his drum.
We’ll meet Iyoké who wants to be tall like a giraffe and Mama Africa who will take us back in time to discover why there are children of all the different colours of the world.
Public: 2nd to 6th Grade | Duration: 50 minutes aprox | Summary:
We are going to embark on a storytelling trip to faraway lands and times to promote a better cross cultural understanding and tolerance for diversity. In the beginning of time the magic of stories was a guide to learn about the world.
Nowadays stories can transport us to the ancestral fire to remind us that we are all nurtured by the same rain and live under the same sun.
Although we are all different, we have the same basic needs and form part of a great big family: the family of planet Earth.
